Metal: Hellsinger combines the frenetic pace of modern first-person shooters with the requirement to work to the beat that is found in rhythm games. Developed by The Outsiders and published by Funcom, the game is officially slated for a release date later this year, and has a demo available now on consoles and PC. The demo proves the difference between playing the game and watching gameplay. To experience Metal: Hellsinger, one must feel its jolting rhythm at the tips of one’s fingers!
As we noted in our first impression, it’s absolutely mandatory to shoot, reload, and dodge to the beat of the music. Doing well will add vocals to the music, and that is one of the things that makes this game so unique. Featuring a killer heavy metal soundtrack that plays throughout the game, vocal duties are handled by a broad array of heavy hitters such as Serj Tankian from System of a Down, Alissa White-Glüz from Arch Enemy, and Matthew Heafy from Trivium.
While the demo is out today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, the trailer gave us a release date announcement for September 15th, so be on the lookout! Until then, good luck climbing the leaderboards within the demo!
