As a new Meta Quest 2 owner, I wasn’t much aware of just how many different accessories this nifty VR headset is compatible with. Luckily, my friends at Wasserstein were kind enough to send me a few of their great Quest 2 accessories to try out so that I could take my VR experience to new heights. My experience over the last couple of weeks with these products has left me as happy as a clam. They’re great quality items and the best part; is they’re 100% compatible with each other as well as the headset.
Silicone Skin Set - $25.49
The first item to talk about is the Silicone Skin Set. This nifty set of protective skins includes coverage for every single important element of your Quest 2, right down to the lenses. All of it slips right over their respective pieces perfectly. The skins are all made of silicone and can even be washed if/when they get sweaty.
What’s included:
Quest 2 Headset protective silicone skin
2x Quest 2 controller protective skins with hand straps
2x thumbstick grips
2x adjustable wrist straps
Protective silicone face cover
Lens cover
Charging Station - $29.99
Next is the charging station which really comes in handy when you want to pick up your Quest 2 and want a full charge readily available. It easily slides into place and stays there thanks to a piece that holds the nose area from moving. Something I found extra cool about the charging station is that the USB-C piece that connects the headset to the station is actually a little dongle.
You plug the dongle into the headset and then when you charge it, you just have to line up the piece to its indicated spot on the base where it can put through a charge. It’s an ingenious idea that’s a lot easier than having to fight with a cable all the time. There are also spots for each of the controllers to sit as well, though they don’t charge of course. The stand also has a pretty lighting system that passively changes colors.
Ultra Lightweight Elite Headstrap and Battery Pack - $36.99
Last, but certainly not least, the Ultra Lightweight Elite Headstrap and Battery pack. This awesome strap does two things perfectly. Not only does it serve as a secure and comfortable alternative to the stock headstrap that comes with a Quest 2, but it also includes a battery pack that can plug into your headset while in use. Running low on juice? All you have to do is plug this in via the attached USB-C to the headset and you’re good to go for up to 6 hours thanks to its 5000 mAh capacity. This thing is the bee’s knees as far as comfort and practicality go.
Perhaps the best part about all of these products collectively is that they’re 100% compatible with each other while on the headset. You don’t have to worry about ports being blocked or anything like that when it comes to charging. And even with the silicone skins on, the headset and controllers fit on the charging station perfectly. I was blown away.
If you’re interested in any of these products or want to see Wasserstein’s other great Quest 2 products, check them out! I couldn’t recommend them enough.
