E3 is a time of the year I always look forward to. The whole gaming industry gathers to reveal what has been worked on throughout the previous year and the highlight of the event is of course the conferences! Each year Microsoft, Sony, Bethesda and Ubisoft take the stage to wow us with new reveals or information about the coming years games. However, it looks like Sony has opted to skip the coming 2019 edition of E3. As told to Game Informer.
This news is extremely odd to me, as E3 is still the largest showcase for new games. Having one of the major console makers not present will leave a huge hole in the lineup. Obviously Sony not being involved directly won’t mean we won’t see any PlayStation games at the show, but the move puts more weight on the shoulders of developers to get their games showcased properly. With this announcement and the prior news about the cancellation of this years PlayStation Experience, I wonder what format Sony will turn to in order to deliver the big announcements throughout 2019? What do you all think of this move?
