Throughout your adventures in Splatoon Raiders, you’ll find plenty of unique treasures around the maps and hidden in boxes off the beaten path. Sometimes you’ll get Briny Scrolls that give you lore tidbits, but other times you’ll find something called an Old Compass. Finding out how to use this item isn’t so straightforward, so if you’re a bit lost, we’ll explain how to use the Old Compass to find hidden islands in Splatoon Raiders.
How to use an Old Compass in Splatoon Raiders
You can use the Old Compass to find secret islands in Splatoon Raiders by following where the compass is pointing. After collecting an Old Compass and returning to the Hideout after beating a level, check out your map again. It will notify you that your compass is pointing somewhere specific, but it doesn’t know where yet.
There are three types of compasses types you’ll have to solve.
Standard Compass - All you have to do is follow the direction it’s pointing. Move slowly, and keep searching until you’re prompted to hit the A button. You’ve now just found an island that’ll give you a Skill Point after beating it!
Orange Compass - This time, follow the direction that makes it so the compass fills to the top with orange. At its fullest, you should spot the hidden island to uncover.
Blue Compass - This compass will fill up with blue to indicate you’re moving in the right direction. The more blue that fills up, the closer you are to moving in the optimal direction. This one can feel finicky, so take it slowly so as not to over-correct and lose your way.
The levels that unlock for you here are quite challenging at times, so be prepared to jump through hoops and do some parkouring to earn a Skill Point.
