Square Enix Puts DEUS EX Series On Hiatus

In the wake of Square Enix announcing it's multi-game partnership with Marvel, the Deus Ex series is being put on hold. Eurogamer reports that this means all the storylines that were to lead into a third game in the series will be left as they are and that the company has no plans in making the third game at this time. Square Enix has not officially commented on the matter.

It's no secret that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided did not sell nearly as well as other games in the series. While it looked impressive visually, the overall experience felt small and bland when put up against Deus Ex: Human Revolution

While the news may disappoint some, I think a lot of people would rather see some decent Marvel games popping up on consoles, am I wrong on that? Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is still planning on launching it's final DLC February 23rd.
