Journey into J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-Earth once more for a new adventure in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The game places you in the shoes of the titular creature, Gollum, as he makes his journey leading up to presumably, the events of The Fellowship of the Ring. Setup as a cinematic stealth-action/adventure title, you’ll slink around Middle-Earth using stealth and parkour gameplay.

Developed by Daedalic Entertainment, the team is bringing their A-game to create an engaging story. You’ll get a chance to meet some important characters you may have seen in the films or have heard of in the books. And of course, Gandalf makes an appearance. It’s an extremely interesting game on paper and I'd love to his how it hits its mark in its final form.

From what I’ve seen, the art style looks very nice. It’s a bit of a mix between a fairy-tale book and realism. I have heard criticism about it but remember, this game still has a ways to go before it hits storefronts so there’s plenty of time for tweaking.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum releases in Fall of 2022 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
