When you think of a dungeon crawler title you often think of dark surroundings and an evil-bound story, but the developers at Afterburner Studios have put a twist on this genre with their new game Dreamscaper. Working with publisher Freedom! Games, they have released their bright dungeon crawler onto Steam’s Early Access for players to start testing their skills against the enemies with nowhere to hide.
In Dreamscaper, you will have to fight the inner demons of a young girl named Cassidy that finds herself in an ever-changing world with a multitude of unique events and challenges, for with every slumber she falls into will bring her to a new dungeon. Whether you manage to defeat her enemies with her hack ‘n’ slash style skills or are overcome by their power, you will awake only to soon find yourself falling into another slumber.
We got a taste of this game a while back and ended up having high expectations for a game that was already entertaining to start with. It seems our first impression on the game is proving true as it is already getting a pretty positive reception since it released its early access version.
