Have you ever wanted to have the power to control time? Have you ever wanted to traverse other dimensions on a whim? Well look no further, for now, you have the chance as The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines is available now on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam!
In the game, you’ll play as newly recruited Ambassador of Time, Gregor. In the beginning, Gregor and fellowship member Cait learn to channel their powers. The training is cut short though by the destruction of the Fellowship’s capital city. Cait is wounded during the battle, leaving it to Gregor to find those responsible and to bring peace back to Tamaris.
Gregor will have his mystical powers at his disposal to bring down the evil-doers who stand in his way. You’ll be able to stop time and dispatch your enemies in environmental challenges. Unique weapons and armor will not be hard to come by during your quest, and you can even switch them on the fly to get the upper-hand during combat. Because of its inclusion of dimension traversal the game has a non-linear approach to its gameplay. It also utilizes twin-stick shooter controls in its game mechanics!
The developers over at tinyDino Games took inspiration from other indie titles saying "you will notice elements of Braid, Crawl, The Binding of Isaac, and Nuclear Throne all tossed together into a new and shiny twin-stick shooter”. The gameplay looks like a really great time, and the art style indulges itself with a deep color scheme. There’s even an official soundtrack for the game available as well done by musician, Tony Manfredonia!
