The Division, Ubisoft’s take on the multiplayer shooter arena, has already been out for two years now and the company was proud to announce that the game has already reached a significant milestone, by crossing the 20 million player mark all across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Just to give you a perspective on how huge 20 million players are, the game has twice more players than the entire population of Sweden. To celebrate this amazing achievement, Ubisoft is planning a series of events. First off, there will be four Global Events in the entire month of March, which will happen once a week. The Global Events will bring special rewards and modifiers.
Furthermore, Ubisoft revealed some interesting information on the game like how over the past three months, players were able spend an average of 3 hours a day in NYC. Players of The Division were also able to kill 66 billion NPCs, and in the span of the game’s lifetime, over 549,939,300 rogue agents were brought to justice. You can check out the full statistics of the game down below.
Lastly, Ubisoft has consistently released new content for The Division, that included three big expansions called Underground, Survival, and Last Stand. The newest content update came last December, where two game modes were added, together with a new area.
