ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks have revealed today that The Elder Scrolls Online will be receiving some major updates going into 2023. Players will be able to try out a new class along with a gripping new story, Shadow Over Morrowind.
The first of which, Scribes of Fate, will be a dungeon DLC added on March 13 for PC/Mac and March 28 for Xbox and PlayStation to start off this new story arc for 2023. This DLC will feature two new four-player dungeons. Following up shortly after, the Necrom chapter will continue the story and launch for PC/Mac on June 5 and on Xbox/PlayStation consoles on June 20. This chapter will feature over 30 hours of new story content, taking players to new zones and giving players the ability to choose a new class.
Along with this new story DLC players can look forward to the Arcanist, the brand-new class coming to ESO. This class will bring powerful new abilities and mechanics drawn from a Daedric Prince in the realm of Oblivion.
Clearly, ESO fans have a lot to look forward to this year. For those not familiar with the game, ESO is an MMO RPG that does not require a subscription to play. Currently, at the time of writing, it is on sale on Steam for just $5.99.
The Elder Scrolls Online is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
