One of my favorite limited edition consoles to date is honestly my Project Scorpio Xbox One X. Sure it doesn’t look to different from the standard X out side of the Project Scorpio branding at the top and a gradient color scheme but that’s what makes me like it! Sometimes there is something genuinely beautiful about a simple limited edition console. Sure designs like the wooden Xbox One for Sekiro or the symbol fueled Kingdom Hearts 3 consoles do look awesome but sometimes my eyes just don’t want to work that hard. During Sony’s State of Play livestream, some time was taken to showcase a new limited edition PS4 that might just be my favorite from Sony yet!
The console itself is a 1 TB slim model PS4 that comes in a steel grey color with matching controller. On the top of the console we have the iconic PlayStation face buttons in a brushed aluminium finish resulting in a super sleek and clean design! seriously about the only thing that makes me sad about this limited edition is that it isn’t a PS4 Pro. No pricing information has been given for the new console but something in the range of $300 doesn’t sound to out there. We also know that the console will be dropping during Sony’s Days of Play event whic has historically happened during E3. Interesting to think that Days of Play is still going to be around when Sony has actively backed out of E3 though? Regardless, this PS4 looks awesome and I can’t wait to learn more details.
