This weekend, Cooler Master is hosting a large esports Invitational featuring Overwatch! This event looks amazing and even though I am not in the local area myself, it will be what I plan on watching live on Twitch because they will be streaming some bad ass gameplay footage of serious players, all trying to win their piece of the $40,000 prize pot, and having giveaways in the live streams as well as the Arena!
Right off the site, it explains:
"The Overwatch Cooler Master Invitational gives 12 high school robotic teams the chance of a lifetime to compete in the ultimate eSports event. Experience the thrill of the spotlights, the roar of the crowd, all while being streamed live to thousands of fans online. Teams will battle until the ultimate champion walks away with their lion’s share of the $40,000 prize pool that directly benefits their school’s robotics program. Cooler Master is proud for our continuous support of STEM education by organizing this fundraiser and free event."
Did you catch that last word? FREE! Now, to be fair, there was a mention of "while supplies last," so if you are going, don't be late! It is being hosted at Esports Arena, in California, and it is free to get in! Here's the address:
120 W 5th St.
Santa Ana, CA 92701
If you can make it there, they are going to have booths set up to show you newest stuff from their sponsors (that includes Blizzard), raffles to win prizes, special guests, and a free play area where you can play one of many games they have!
Who's going? And who's gonna join me in the chat room? Comment to let me know!
