It’s official: the Persona franchise is finally coming to Xbox and PC. The news comes from the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase that aired earlier today, where Phil Spencer took the stage to announce a legendary partnership with Atlus to bring the critically acclaimed series to Xbox for the first time.
The video revealed that this agreement will bring three Persona titles to Xbox, including Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal. Persona 5 Royal will be the first game to join Xbox on October 21st, 2022. In addition, all three games will launch as part of Xbox Game Pass.
Persona 3 Portable follows a group of Persona-wielding high school students who have joined up with an organization known as the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad in order to investigate the mystery of the Dark Hour that threatens to destroy their home.
Persona 4 Golden revolves around a new group of students who are investigating a spree of murders in the sleepy, rural village of Inaba. After discovering a hidden world beyond their television screens, the protagonist and their friends resolve to use their newly awakened Personas to uncover the truth behind these mysterious attacks.
Persona 5 Royal takes place in the city of Tokyo and follows the protagonist as he seeks rehabilitation in the face of impending ruin. On his way to achieving this goal, he’ll align with like-minded allies and form the Phantom Thieves of Heart, a group dedicated to fighting injustice and removing the distorted desires of corrupt adults.
Persona 5 Royal will be available on October 21st, 2022, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and PC. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will join the platforms and service at a later date.
