An RPG rooted in Slavic mythology, Black Book is the latest project from developer Morteshka and it’s live now on Kickstarter.
Innovating on deck-building RPGs and adventure games, Black Book should be a blend of the genres and a wholly unique experience. The game follows the story of Vasilisa, who searches for a way to bring back her loved one. Searching for the demonic Black Book, she hopes to use the relic to grant her wish. But she must uncover each of the Book’s seven seals to do so.
Inspired by Slavic folktales, Morteshka has crafted a world where myth and reality crash into one another. The game will have otherworldly creatures like demons, elementals, giant wolves, talking pets, and more.
Black Book will feature a strong narrative, turn-based combat, and card-collecting, all woven into a captivating experience where Vasilisa can be joined by companions and demonic recruits. It should be a strategy game and an exciting adventure. And the hand-drawn art style should immerse you in the world.
