On June 25th, players will be able to experience the narrative puzzle game The Almost Gone from Happy Volcano. Dioramas pieced together will explore life and truth.
Visually, it reminds me of Monument Valley, which is one of my favorite indie puzzle games, but the narrative seems more tied to realism in this game.
Here’s the story as we know it:
Poised between life and death, isolated and alone, you must unravel the poignant truths that led to your fate. Dig beneath the beautifully rendered facades and interiors of an ordinary suburban lifestyle to discover a contemporary tale.
From your own home to eerily deserted streets, beautiful apartment blocks to abandoned hospitals, you must search forensically for clues and the path forwards. Each new revelation takes you one step closer to understanding, and to the people and places that surrounded you, in your all too short life.
The award-winning indie will be available on PC via Steam, the Nintendo Switch, as well as iOS and Android via the App Store and Google Play, respectively.
And you can already pre-order on iOS and pre-register on Android for a 30% discount. So if you want to play The Almost Gone, check it out now!
