Whether you use the feature or not, there is no denying the success the backwards compatibility program has had for Microsoft and the Xbox One. First announced back at E3 2015 and launching later the same year the program has added a growing selection of Xbox 360 titles that can be played on the Xbox One. Today that games list grows again with the inclusion of four Xbox 360 releases in the storied Command & Conquer franchise.
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3: Commander’s Challenge
While many will balk at the idea of playing a Real-Time Strategy game on console the 360 versions of C&C pulled it off pretty well. Well, except Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars that game has some of the worst console RTS controls I have ever experienced. Each game also includes all the missions found in the PC releases making them ideal for anyone just wanting to experience the out there stories C&C do so well. I for one am pretty stoked these games are finally playable on Xbox One as each had good aspects to them even if they aren’t the greatest entries in the C&C franchise.
