There are over 10 pokemon in Sun and Moon according to Masuda. We here at Bulbagarden are shocked by this extremely high number of Pokemon.

Junichi Masuda (one of the founders and current director of Game Freak) has been known to dole out information on new Pokemon games pretty consistently, but is he being intentionally deceptive? If you take the 3 starters with their evolved forms the number of new Pokemon is 9. Then you add the token new legendary for each game and the magic number sits at...11.
Sad news for anyone thinking they were gettinga fresh batch of Pokemon to catch, but do we really need more at this point?! What do fans really want from the upcoming Pokemon game?
