It has been awhile since there was a new space-based horror game. While there are plenty of games out there in the genre that range from amazing experiences to complete let downs, it is always nice to hear when there is a new game coming. It wasn’t too long ago that Rock Pocket Games announced their next upcoming game, Moons of Madness, but now their publisher, Funcom, has released a 12 minute gameplay video.
This gameplay video shows off a lot of different aspects, many of which horror fans would expect when it comes to a space-based horror game. Hallucinations, creepy atmosphere, strange surroundings, surreal Mars environment, menial tasks that lead us around the base, potentially dangerous team members to note, and a full view of one of their horrid creatures. Seriously, this video has it all! Check it out:
I was already excited for this game, especially with the official Steam pages description as “a first-person, story-driven cosmic horror game where the scientific exploration of Mars meets the supernatural dread of Lovecraft,” but after seeing this gameplay I simply can’t wait! At least Moons of Madness is set to launch on Halloween of this year for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, so the wait won’t be much longer from now. What did you think of the gameplay video covering the game?
