Independent studio Ganymede Games have announced a crowdfunding success for their upcoming Sci-fi RPG deck builder, Xenotheria!
The story takes place on the planet Wolf Prime, a desert planet that hosts the galaxy’s most important trading port. The plot involves a mysterious, cataclysmic event, leading to a shower of spaceships, satellites, and orbital stations falling from the skies. Players pick up in the aftermath with a main character named Squiggles. The cuttlefish is tasked with discovering the reason and source for the apocalyptical event. Squiggles will work with other team members to stay alive and figure out what has happened to the planet!
The game has over 200 skills to unlock, eight playable characters, and card-based combat that will appeal to RPG fans. Playing cards require the use or combination of four main mana types. The game’s battle grid system allows for strategies of positioning, hiding behind cover, and using the terrain’s features. All-in-all this is looking like a very interesting new indie project!
