Nintendo has recently introduced a new update on its website that allows everyday users like you and me to leave customer reviews on specific Switch games. This update allows Switch players to share to Nintendo and certain game developers on what they really thought of the game and their experience playing it.
Popular Nintendo games such as Splatoon 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild have already implemented this new review feature on their individual pages. All you have to do is to scroll to the bottom of the page where you’ll find a new section called “Customer Reviews.” However, you should know that players won’t be able to leave anonymous feedback on the site as Nintendo would only allow a player to review a game after signing into their Nintendo Account.
Overall, the review section on Nintendo’s website is pretty much standard. You will be first asked to select an overall rating, which is symbolized by 5 stars representing your rating of the game. Players are also asked to choose several tags from a variety of options from Challenging, Great Sound, Kid appropriate and Immersive, among many others.
Furthermore, players are asked to give a brief summary of their review as a headline, and a detailed comment on what they thought of the game. Nintendo will ask the reviewer to describe themselves whether they are a Nintendo fan, a parent, a core gamer, or a casual gamer.
For the moment, only selected games have the review feature. However, it is expected that reviews will be rolling out for other titles in the coming days. Given that the Switch is enjoying a steady growth in terms of players, the ability to review our favorite -and not so favorite- Switch games is definitely a nice feature to have.
Which Switch games would you or would not give a full five stars? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
