Arm up and load out! Today, publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer SmokeStab are dropping some full-throttle excitement with the PC release of the cyclic rogue-lite shooter, Orbital Bullet. The full release launches with a ‘Coup D’etat’ update that introduces new areas and bigger weapons to bring the fight to the game’s main foe, Dread Corp.
Orbital Bullet is an action platformer with a unique style, fast gameplay, and level design built with a 360° shape. Players will jam along to the music as they take on hordes of foes and bosses to progress, with instant transmission between stages to keep the rhythm going. Battle through unforgiving alien worlds with procedurally generated enemies while navigating the unique circular map, and defeat the evil tech company with plans of world domination.
With a whopping total of 38 weapons, players will have many options for carnage, and a deep skill tree-like mechanic will give them an edge as they try to tackle these sinister maps. Dynamic and permanent skill trees, game-changing body modification, upgrades, and a diverse range of heavy weaponry can be enhanced with the Overcharge and Eternity mechanics. While there may be many enemies, there are also many ways to advance.
With the release of the game also comes a unique option of purchase, with the "Save the World Edition” on Steam. For $10 more than the standard, this version comes with the official game soundtrack and a 10% donation to Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit foundation leading the largest ocean cleanup effort ever attempted. The developer and publisher consider this mission to be on theme with the game’s diverse biome-based environments.
Orbital Bullet is available now on Steam and GOG. Check out the release trailer below, and be sure to take a look at the store page on Steam, as they are running a 35% off launch discount for both the Standard and the Save the World Edition.
