Warner Bros Entertainment has come out with three movies in the Mortal Kombat Legends series, each movie in the series focuses around a different Mortal Kombat character. This time around we’re getting Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match, which if you can’t figure it out is based around your favorite Hollywod actor, Johnny Cage. A retro-style feature-length film with an origin story showing how he got himself involved in the tournament. With a powerful voice cast with names like Joel McHale as Johnny Cage, Kelly Hu, and rest in peace Gilbert Gottfried.

Take a trip to 1980’s Hollywood, where action star Johnny Cage is looking to make is way to the A-list as an actor. But when his co-star Jennifer turns up missing from the set, Johnny finds himself in an unknown world of shadows, danger, and deceit. While on his heroic blood-filled journey he finds the City of Angels that he knows so well, is full of more demons than he imagined. He takes on a sinister society that is plotting their nefarious scheme, but taking on the warriors of the Netherrealm is just the beginning.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match will be available for purchase at select retailers and streaming services on October 17th.
