After a few rounds raiding the surface, and depending on whether you are a scavenging maniac or not, Arc Raiders players might soon find their initial stash space of 64 slots completely full. And while selling some extra gear and items might do the trick, especially if you are planning to do some Free Loadout runs, the upgrade requirements soon make this strategy unsustainable.
Fortunately for raiders all across the globe, expanding one’s stash is a pretty straightforward process. It is also a pretty laborious one, so make sure to continue reading to learn all the different ways you can increase your stash space in Arc Raiders.
How to expand your stash space in Arc Raiders
Thanks to a recent update, there are currently three ways in which a raider can increase their stash space in the game:
Use coins to purchase stash space
Depart from Expeditions
Buy stash space from Nomadic Envoys
Use coins to purchase stash space
This one is pretty straightforward. Right in your inventory, locate the “EXPAND” button. After clicking on it, you’ll be prompted to spend coins to expand your stash space by 24 slots at a time. You can do this 10 times up to a maximum of 280 slots. Be wary, though, as each level will be more expensive than the previous one, as shown below:
Level 1 (64): Default
Level 2 (88): 5,000 coins
Level 3 (112): 10,000 coins
Level 4 (136): 15,000 coins
Level 5 (160): 25,000 coins
Level 6 (184): 40,000 coins
Level 7 (208): 60,000 coins
Level 8 (232): 90,000 coins
Level 9 (256): 130,000 coins
Level 10 (280): 200,000 coins
In total, you will need 575,000 coins to purchase every stash space size level. To farm coins fast, prioritize scavenging trinkets across all maps and sell them once you extract back to Speranza.
Depart from Expeditions
Expeditions are huge undertakings in which, in simple terms, you commit resources to gain the ability to travel beyond the Rust Belt. You can find the active Expedition under the Project section in the Raider tab.
As soon as you commit all resources (which vary slightly per Expedition), you’ll be prompted to sign up for departure. If you choose to depart, you’ll be rewarded with 12 additional permanent stash slots.
While you can do this every time a new Expedition begins, be aware that you will lose significant progress by going on the Expedition. Your stash will reset to the initial 64 slots + any you have earned in past Expeditions (i.e., 76, 88, 100, etc.), and you’ll also lose the following:
Inventory Items
Blueprints
Coins
Player Level
Skill Points
Raider Den
Workshop
Quests
This reset is entirely optional, of course. It is up to you to determine whether the stash upgrades (and other permanent rewards) are worth the departure. You can check more about this mechanic here.
Buy stash space at Nomadic Envoys
The most recent method involves Nomadic Envoys. Each week, Ermal, the newest Trader in Speranza, will offer rare items in exchange for rare materials, which will also change.
Ermal also offers additional stash space in exchange for 200,000 coins in item value. Only some items are Legendary, and Epic items are eligible for trade, which include the following, all of which are found by defeating the corresponding ARC:
Queen Reactor
Matriarch Reactor
Bombardier Cell
Assessor Matrix
Turbine Compressor
Leaper Pulse Unit
Bastion Cell
Vaporizer Regulator
Rocketeer Driver
You can only do this once, and, reportedly, the stash space upgrade resets if you choose to depart on an Expedition. So, whether this makes sense to invest in is entirely dependent on whether you mind the grind for these parts for a mere 12 extra slots. The choice is yours, though!
