Riven Tides will be the stuff of dreams (or nightmares) for those players looking for a challenge in Arc Raiders. And if the sheer amount of ARC presence isn’t enough, Shoring Up Defenses will have us kill a bunch of deadly bots, all while reinforcing some defenses, as if it wasn’t obvious by now.
This is easier said than done, especially since you’ll be visiting some challenging areas in the new map. Don’t lose your valuable gear, and continue reading to know how to complete the Shoring Up Defenses quest in Arc Raiders.
How to complete the Shoring Up Defenses quest in Arc Raiders
If you want to complete this quest in one go, I highly suggest your loadout is strong, including an ARC Alloy for one of the quest’s steps. As said above, Riven Tides is a very challenging map, so ARCs and raiders alike will give you some trouble.
Destroy 5 Wasps and destroy 3 Fireflies
These objectives are pretty straightforward. Wasps and Fireflies are pretty much everywhere in Riven Tides, and they often fly together. Wasps are the easiest airborne ARCs in the game, so shooting them down shouldn’t pose a major issue. Fireflies, however, are similar to Hornets, but with flamethrowers. Keep your distance and find cover to bring them down.
Use 1 ARC Alloy to reinforce the Raider structure on top of any Stacking Yard crane
If you didn’t bring any, loot any of the Wasps or Fireflies you just took down and scavenge an ARC Alloy. The Stacking Yard is located on the east side of the map. Depending on your spawn location, you might encounter dangerous ARCs along the way, especially Leapers, so be cautious.
Once you arrive, you’ll find three different cranes. Pick any of them and climb it.
Once on top, walk toward the center area, and you’ll notice steel beams supporting a shelter of sorts. Interact with it to reinforce it, using one ARC Alloy.
Board up the shuttered windows in the hotel
You will now need to walk all the way to the Hotel Panorama Azzurro, located on the west side of Riven Tides.
As it is a red zone, you must move cautiously, as you will encounter Turrets, Pops, and Fireballs inside. Go up to the second floor and locate a room with a shuttered window. Interact with it to board it up, completing Shoring Up Defenses as a result.
