The Reven Tides update is among us, and with it, a new Arc Raiders map for us to explore. For Line in the Sand, however, we will visit a known destination: the Buried City. The reason? A train never arrived at Marano Station.
Unfortunately, this quest’s objectives can be a bit vague, so you might end up aimlessly walking across the desert. So, if you’re struggling, here is how to complete the Line in the Sand quest in Arc Raiders.
How to complete the Line in the Sand quest in Arc Raiders
Be mindful that you’ll be traveling from one side of the Buried City to the other. However, since you can complete each of the four objectives in multiple rounds, you can just use the free loadout to avoid risking valuable items and gear.
Find out why the train never reached Marano Station
Locate the derailed train on the west side of the map, next to Piazza Roma and just below the Warehouse.
Once you reach the location, you will learn that someone robbed the train. A new objective will be granted.
Find out who orchestrated the robbery
Nearby, east of your location and closer to Piazza Roma, you will find a tower.
Enter the tower, and you’ll find a stash you can interact with. Search for clues, and the Marano Market Business Card will appear.
Find out where the thruster valves were stashed
The business card’s name points toward your next location: the Marano Market. It’s now called the Market Ruins, and it is located east, right next to the Hospital.
Again, once you approach the location, your quest will be updated.
Search the basement of the merchant’s nearby apartment
Northeast of your location, you will find the merchant’s apartment.
As you enter, you will notice a door that leads to an empty elevator shaft. Use the zipline to descend to the apartment’s basement.
Once in the basement, locate the boxes to your right and take a photo. This will be the last step in Line in the Sand, so feel free to keep exploring the Buried City or return to Speranza.
Note: I got killed after taking the photo and, once at Speranza, the last step wasn’t completed. Returning to the basement didn’t work, as taking the photo again is impossible. If you encounter this issue, just return to the Market Ruins, and the quest will be completed for good.
