In an effective and expensive marketing move for Mobile Strike, this ad delivers all the ridiculous action movie stunts and explosions you would hope for when Arnold appears onscreen. He smirks at the camera, knowing that these suspiciously quiet undercover agents in the elevator are going to try to get the drop on him. Appearing to symbolize that no one gets to play in God Mode in Mobile Strike, Arnold is taken down after a slow motion struggle for his iPhone. But is he out for good? Will he actually be back?
This ad’s homage to the action movie genre reminds me that Arnold is and always be one of my favorite Hollywood actors. His awareness of the novelty that is Arnold makes it that much better, as you can see he’s included that classic raised eyebrow expression at 0:26.
