Have you ever wanted to do a leap of faith off the Tower in the Last City? Or blast some Templars with Void Light? Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like you’ll be able to do either anytime soon, but there is some good news: Assassin’s Creed and Destiny 2 are getting an official crossover!
Ubisoft’s and Bungie’s respective flagship series will be swapping cosmetic offerings next week. This aligns with the launch of Destiny 2’s newest season and the planned release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s The Last Chapter update. While the full extent of this crossover hasn’t been revealed just yet, the teaser gives us a glimpse into what we can expect when the new content drops on December 6th.
On the AC Valhalla side, the crossover will add new armor sets resembling iconic characters Saint-14 and Lord Shaxx along with wolf and bird skins with Iron Banner motifs. Destiny 2 players will have access to new armor sets for each of the main classes, each of which is themed to a different era in Assassin’s Creed history. There’s also a Sparrow, ship, and Ghost shell that will presumably come in a bundle.
This collaboration comes on the heels of Destiny 2’s last notable crossover that brought three iconic Fortnite armor sets to the game. In exchange, Fortnite players could suit up as Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey, and the Exo Stranger. Two major crossovers in back-to-back seasons suggest that Bungie is eager to bring more recognizable IP into their popular MMO shooter.
All crossover content will be available in-game on December 6th, 2022. Destiny 2 is available for free on Xbox, PlayStation, PC via Steam, and Google Stadia (until January 2023). Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam (on December 6th, 2022).
