Bronies Rejoice at Funding of THEM'S FIGHTIN' HERDS

The super-Bronies (adult fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) over at Mane 6 attempted to make a fan-built, 2-D fighter based on MLP, but were obviously shut down by the powers-that-be for copyright issues. When the creator of the show, Lauren Faust, saw their plight she stepped to the plate to help create a new set of characters and a world for them to inhabit. Thus, Them's Fightin' Herds was born and tossed onto IndieGoGo. Today they reached their funding goal, and are well on their way to a PC release soon.

While I for one don't totally understand the appeal of My Little Pony and the many fandoms it has spawned, I can't say I'm too offended by a group of people that view friendship as magic. How bad can they be? (As long as you avoid the darker... pervy parts of the Bronie-net...) As a fan of fighting games however, this one looks to be well polished and unique. Plus I think it's cool that Lauren Faust is so in touch with her fans that she would help back up a failed fan-game. That's some dedication right there!

Funding for Them's Fightin' Herds ends in a couple of days, and there are a number of stretch goals not yet met. So if this seems like your cup of tea, go ahead and check it out.
