Fans of the player-verse-player asymmetrical genre are getting an interesting twist in 2022. While this genre has been full of various horror titles to fill its role, Bandai Namco has revealed a new take on the genre with their upcoming game DragonBall: The Breakers. Featuring a 7v1 multiplayer gameplay layout, this interesting title will be coming to PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch next year.
In this asymmetrical game, 7 players take on the role of “Survivors” who don’t have any superpowers and must rely on various power-up items, weapons, and pilot-able vehicles to battle and evade the Raider while searching for the Super Time Machine to escape oblivion. The other player will take on the role of “Raider” who will be able to play as Cell, Buu, or Frieza and amass overwhelming power to destroy the Survivor team throughout the match, ensuring complete dominance.
Looks like it is time to see what life is like in the DragonBall universe as a civilian every time a new Arc starts in the show! It is definitely an interesting, and almost humorous, take on the genre and I am actually looking forward to seeing it play out. Check out the announcement trailer for yourself below.
