Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will release on Nintendo Switch, but it will also be playable on Nintendo Switch 2 via backward compatibility. Nintendo has not announced a proper Switch 2 version.

Set on a tropical island, the player’s traditional role in Tomodachi Life remains the same: observe as the various Miis interact with each other and develop relationships. However, Living the Dream introduces a more hands-on approach to the social sim experience, enabling the player to directly control who the Mii characters meet, leading to various scenarios.
Additionally, players will be able to customize the island layout, the Mii Maker allows for deeper Mii customization, and romantic relationships can flourish regardless of gender, something new to the Tomodachi Life games.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream does not offer cooperative gameplay, local or online. It does, however, allow for local communication between players to share Miis.

No demo for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has been announced as of the writing of this article. However, given that Nintendo has put out demos for Mii games such as Miitopia, it is entirely plausible that a Living the Dream demo will pop up closer to its April 16 release date.
