Do you have what it takes to survive Black Iron Prison? Krafton and Striking Distance Studios will challenge you to find out with The Callisto Protocol. The new sci-fi survival horror is taking its Dead Space roots to a whole new level with the latest trailer, shot in live-action with actor Josh Duhamel. Check out the trailer above for yourself.
The trailer gives us a slight glimpse at what a Callisto Protocol movie would look like and it's looking awesome! There is no better way to hype a game launch than a well-shot live-action trailer. I am sure everyone remembers Halo 3’s famous “finish the fight” CGI trailer that sent chills throughout adolescent spines 15 years ago. These trailers matter.
The Callisto Protocol is giving players the chance to experience a horror experience in the vast deepness of space, specifically on Jupiter’s moon, set 300 years in the future. This third-person survival horror will allow players to take on the role of Jacob Lee, a prisoner of Black Iron Prison. Inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures which throws the prison into even more chaos than before.
The game will feature a mix of melee and shooting throughout its campaign. Jacob will have to adapt his tactics to fight off the monstrous threats and try to escape the terror of Jupiter’s Dead Moon.
The Callisto Protocol launches on December 2 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
