The explosive cyberpunk-themed RPG shooter, The Ascent has a brand new trailer highlighting its co-op! The trailer was revealed at yesterday’s ID@Xbox, giving players another look into what’s in-store. While the game can be played solo, you can team up with up to 3 other friends in either online or local co-op to engage in the action with. I’m happy to see more games choosing to make local co-op available to players. There was a time when it was like pulling teeth to get any kind of local co-op, so it’s nice to see it become the norm again.
The game’s plot is set in a cyberpunk world where the mega-corporation, The Ascent Group has just collapsed. The world falls into chaos and left without protection, you’re the only one to keep up law and order. You’ll also have to find out what’s happened and how it can get back to normal again. One of the game’s features is the ability to add cyberware to their characters so that they can play the way that they want. We’ve seen things like this in Cyberpunk 2077 so I’m excited to see what this game does differently.
The Ascent releases in 2021 on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It’ll also be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC.
