Crimson Moon is a soulslike roguelike (say that five times fast) that features an exciting feature that many similar games are missing: 2-player co-op. In this challenging run-based adventure, you can team up with a friend, where you’ll synergize your builds to overcome what lies ahead. Though you’ll have a shared life pool, it’s nevertheless arguably the best way to experience the game.
If you’re playing with friends on a different platform, though, you may be curious whether Crimson Moon supports cross-play. Below, we’ll answer that question, as well as fill you in on whether you can expect cross-progression, too.
Does Crimson Moon have cross-play?
Yes, Crimson Moon offers full cross-play support across all platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This means that it doesn’t matter which hardware you and your friends own, you’ll be able to easily link up within the game and dive into runs together.
Does Crimson Moon support cross-progression?
Crimson Moon does not have cross-progression at launch. This means if you purchase Crimson Moon on one platform, you won’t be able to transfer your progress to another one. If you want to play on another platform, you’ll need to repurchase the game there and start over from scratch.
Developer ProbablyMonsters has not confirmed any intentions to add cross-progression features at a later date. Realistically, we wouldn’t count on it, though.
