One game that came out this year, but was met with skepticism from the moment it was announced, was Airship Syndicate’s Diablo-style spin-off title, Darksiders Genesis. Presented by THQ Nordic, this top-down two-player co-op game is a full-length chaotic adventure through hell where players play as two of the apocalyptic horsemen, Strife and War, alongside their steeds Rampage and Mayhem. Despite it being a spin-off, featuring a different gameplay style than the series itself, and pretty much every other aspect about the game that made it stand out from the usual Darksiders game, both critics and players seem to really enjoy it.
If you weren’t following the launch of Darksiders Genesis, then know that the game may have initially launched on PC via Steam back on December 5th, but it is also coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on Valentine’s Day 2020. With how much players have been loving the game so far, then the launch is sure to be fitting for action-adventure fans as it gives them something new to love on the day that’s all about it.
