Yesterday’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event was chock-full of awesome new game announcements as well as being very generous with details on said reveals. The show came out swinging within its very first reveal with the recently teased Saints Row series reboot. The new entry, simply titled, Saints Row, brings the series back to a more grounded world such as what you’d find in the first two games.
Deep Silver Volition is adamant that they want players to know that the series’ recipe of humor, action, and of course, crime, are still prevalent themes that you’ll find throughout.

Players this time around will find themselves taking the role of Boss, as you and your team of criminals build up your crime empire in the fictional city of Santo Ileso. Set in the American Southwest, this is a city hardened by its leading gangs that you’ll have to target and takedown in order to make the Saints the biggest name in town.
It’s also teased that this is the biggest and best sandbox we’ve seen yet in the SR series, filled with side hustles, criminal ventures, and blockbuster missions. And as always, there’s a great amount of customization to have at your disposal. From your character, your crew, and your vehicles, this is your world.
