Designer Eric Lang and artist Adrian Smith are back with another game from publisher CMON. Creators of the popular Blood Rage and Rising Sun, these game developers have now set their sights on ancient Egypt with ANKH: Gods of Egypt.
Including miniatures sculpted by the talented Mike McVey, this upcoming Kickstarter will be the next project from CMON, and it’s coming soon!
Here’s the story as we know it:
The gods that rule over Egypt can no longer share the devotion of the people. One by one, the gods must fall into oblivion, until only one will remain. Spread your forces across the land, build monuments to establish your dominion, reshape the land to your advantage, gain followers to increase your powers and get the support of powerful guardians. As the sands soak the blood in conflicts decided by both strength and cunning, each god will use their unique power to climb to the top of the devotion ladder. Will you be the one to achieve life eternal?
Announced at the last GenCon, ANKH: Gods of Egypt is the next installment from the creative team that has brought some of the best strategy games from CMON. The tabletop news comes in the same week as the Kickstarter launches of Blood Rage and Rising Sun campaigns, which occurred in 2015 and 2017, respectively. So early March is a great time for board game announcements!
The teaser doesn’t show too much, but the Kickstarter campaign will more fully explain the mechanics of the game and the new designs that will accompany ANKH: Gods of Egypt.
So stay tuned to GameTyrant for more details on the upcoming board game and for more of the latest gaming news!
