Spooky hand-painted adventure game Children Of Silentown has been released onto multiple platforms, its dark woods and the cursed town are ready to welcome players in. Developed by Elf Games and Luna2, and published by Daedalic Entertainment, Children Of Silentown is inspired by works like Coraline, and it shows. The game is rendered in beautiful hand-painted graphics that resemble book illustrations.
The game follows the story of Lucy, a girl who lives in a town deep in a huge forest. She has been plagued by nightmares, and with good reason. The residents of the town hear terrible roaring from the woods every night. No one in Silentown is allowed to raise their voice, and all must abide by certain rules to stay safe, but it seems that even these rules are not enough to keep them safe, as people keep going missing.
Children Of Silentown is an old-school point-and-click adventure game. Players can explore the town and find objects to solve puzzles. In addition, the game has a note mechanic, where Lucy can learn melodies that might have unexpected effects on the world around her.
