While searching for eternal life, you’ve accidentally summoned forces that you can’t comprehend. These cosmic horrors have brought forth Cthulhu, and he’s swallowed your city whole. This would seem like certain doom is spelled out before you, but this has done something much more: it’s given you the opportunity to destroy Cthulhu from within. Fighting your way through the deity is the only way to ensure you break the cycle of eternal life you’ve been cursed with, but be wary, as all roads lead to madness.
Developed by Overflow, and published by HOOK, Madshot is a fast-paced rogue-lite shooter that focuses on acrobatic movement. The game will feature multi-phase boss battles, and a plethora of monsters to fight through. Each playthrough promises new experiences as well, with every new run offering a fresh, procedurally generated world. The environments will reward exploration with interactive elements, maintaining a fresh feeling regardless of time spent playing. The final version of the game promises over 50 enemy types, plenty of weapons with over 300 upgrades, and more challenges, rewards, and unlocks.
Madshot will be available on PC via Steam when it enters early access on June 9, 2022.
