Silent Hill: Townfall is a first-person psychological horror game. Puzzle solving takes center stage, but players will also get to fight off nightmarish beings with both melee weapons and firearms. These are limited, however, meaning that you’ll have to rely on stealth if you want to survive.
Townfall introduces the CRTV, a device that uses retro technology to allow players to see through environments and locate enemies and challenge solutions. It can also lead you to various points of interest in the town, expanding the story further.

Silent Hill: Townfall casts you as protagonist Simon Ordell, who is called back to the island of St. Amelia to “put things right.” As he arrives, though, he finds the classic yet terrifying fog all over the place, which appears to be completely abandoned. By surviving and understanding his connection to St. Amelia, Simon will uncover pieces of the past and hopefully come to terms with it.

As you can probably infer, Silent Hill: Townfall’s story is separate from the ones that took place in the actual Silent Hill location. Still, the overall feel and, most evidently, the fog remain present, connecting the franchise’s games via a horrifying and liminal thread.
