Both the 1st Chapter and the 2nd Chapter of Trails in the Sky are remakes of the original The Legend of Heroes VI: Trails in the Sky, released back in 2004. These modernize the gameplay and provide gamers with two different battle systems: Quick Battle and Command Battle.

Quick Battle is the real-time mode, in which the player’s four-character party can deal attacks while also dodging during combat. Meanwhile, Command Battle is the more traditional approach to Trails in the Sky, where players play the game as a strategic turn-based role-playing game, with characters being able to use powerful attacks against the toughest enemies.
