If you ignore all of the comments from angry PlayStation users bemoaning the new console update, you’ll be able to sit back and relax the new developer diary for Scarlet Nexus.
It reveals details about New Himuka, the vast country set in a world where all brains are connected, for better and worse. There exists an opposition, though, which players will discover more about as they play the game. What will truly terrify sci-fi fans is the massive network that connects the brains of everyone in New Himuka. It’s called “Psynet” which is way too close to “Skynet” which means that the Terminators are not far behind. This game may be taken over by Arnold Schwarzenegger before we know it.
But I digress.
Scarlet Nexus is one of the games I’m looking forward to, so every little update is a treat. Here’s to hoping more developer diaries are released in the near future.
The game will unfortunately not be releasing any time soon. If you attempt to pre-order the game, it states December 31st, 2021 as the launch date, but that’s not guaranteed and it likely is just acting as a placeholder. What we do know is that it will be a while. For now, enjoy these brief glimpses into this immersive futuristic world.
