Yesterday was a great day for fans of the battle royale party title, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, as Mediatonic announced that the game would be going free-to-play. What does this mean for players who already own the game on its available PlayStation and PC platforms?
It means that you’ll finally be able to play with those friends or family members that were hesitant to drop the standard $19.99 to purchase the game. It also means that those who own the game already would be getting an exclusive “Legacy Pack” which includes a plethora of customization options and a season pass.
If that news wasn’t enough to hype players up, then the announcement that it’ll finally be released on other platforms should satisfy that hunger. Fall Guys will finally be released on Xbox consoles and the Nintendo Switch! The release of the new platform versions of the game will coincide with it going free-to-play on June 21st.
Other notable highlights from the live-stream event which are coming to the game on June 21st include:
Platform cross-progression
A new currency called “Show-Bucks” (used to purchase season passes)
Season 1: Free-For-All
Next-Gen console optimization
Those interested can also pre-register for the new platforms and unlock some pretty cool rewards! The more people who register, the more prizes that are unlocked. There are things such as nameplates, Kudos, and costumes that will be unlocked for every user who pre-registers!
