Just the other day I was thinking to myself, "Man, I really want to replay Final Fantasy IX. It was such an under appreciated entry in the Final Fantasy library." But when I went to put my discs into my trusty ol' PlayStation, they were all scratched to hell. Great work 12 year old Jake! But luckily it seems Square Enix will soon have a solution to my problem. Joining the beloved Final Fantasy VII and the less beloved Final Fantasy VIII on the PC and some mobile devices is Final Fantasy IX! I love playing through the PC versions of the games, because I don't have to wait through the super long loading screens of my original PlayStation discs. Now if they could just figure out how to fix controller mapping, I'd be golden!
While Square Enix hasn't shared any release date information other than "Coming Soon", they have specified what mobile devices the game will be available on. So go check out their post from earlier today.
