When you start Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave and get through the first hour of gameplay with Eshmel, you’ll finally get the chance to choose one of four routes. We know how tough it is to decide which route to play first, but did you know you can swap routes later on? You won’t get the option right away, but if you’re wondering when you can change routes in Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, we have the answer for you.
How to change routes in Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave
You can swap routes in Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave by talking to the Pale Raven in Dagsion. This option only unlocks around Chapter 4 for every character. You’ll find the Pale Raven sitting on its various perches around Dagsion; it’s marked by some blue drapes.
From there, select the option called “Obelisk Chamber,” and you will return to the chamber where you first chose your route. As a reminder, your progress will be saved on whichever route you’re currently on, so don’t worry about having to start over if you swap characters.
Once you swap to a new character, remember that you will be stuck on their route until you reach their Chapter 4. This takes around 2-3 hours to reach.
It’s important to know that there are benefits to completing Part 1 of a character’s route before starting a new one. Once you complete Part 1 for a character, you’ll get to keep all your unlocked map locations and side quest rewards. If you decide to swap routes before completing Part 1 of a character, that stuff will not carry over.
Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.
