Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave: How to Change the Difficulty

We all know the feeling of choosing a difficulty in a game and realizing later on that it’s either too difficult or too easy. There are two difficulty levels and game modes in Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, and you have the ability to change them. It’s not as obvious as going into the game’s settings, so here’s how to change the difficulty in Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave.

Can you change the difficulty in Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave?

Yes, you can adjust the difficulty in Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, but there’s a catch. To change the difficulty, talk to the Pale Raven in Dagsion and choose to enter the Obelisk Chamber. You unlock the Pale Raven once you reach Chapter 4 of any character route.

In the Obelisk Chamber, interact with the Shrine of Causality on the second floor and select the “Change Difficulty” option. There are only two difficulties in this game: Normal and Hard.

As a reminder, you can only decrease the difficulty setting, not increase it. So, if you chose Normal mode at the start of your journey, you cannot increase it to Hard. But if you chose Hard mode, you have the option to swap it to Normal.

On the other hand, you have two game modes called Casual and Classic that dictate whether your units fall in battle and die permanently. We currently haven’t found a way to alter this setting, so make sure to choose wisely.

Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.
