Fortnite: Battle Royale’s latest season got a new addition today with the introduction of Klombos: strange, enormous lizards that eat almost anything and sneeze out loot after devouring their meal. Feeding them might just be a good way to snag some rare gear while exploring. While they’ll eat just about any item players throw in front of them, they do prefer the ripe Klomberries that can be found growing on bushes all across the island.
The Klombos are generally docile creatures, but they can get aggressive if provoked. This anger can be used strategically to gain an ally during combat, but if players find themselves on the wrong end of the Klombos’ rage, there is a way to soothe the beast. Simply feed it a Klomberry and it’ll calm right down. The berries can also be consumed by players for a small health boost.
In addition to the arrival of the Klombos, one of Fortnite’s most recognizable locations has made a return in Chapter 3: Tilted Towers. The famous city block is back and located right in the middle of the new island for easy discovery. The various, multi-level buildings are filled with loot for players to snag, and the elevation they offer is perfect for setting up an ambush for enemy combatants.
Fortnite: Battle Royale Chapter 3 Season 1 kicked off last year with a literal bang as the entire island was flipped upside down to prevent the Cube Queen from invading with her alien armada. The new chapter brought a new map, sliding mechanics, and web-swinging to the game, alongside a new season pass featuring Spider-Man and his various costumes.
Fortnite: Battle Royale Chapter 3 Season 1 runs until March 19th, 2022, and there are still a few surprises left before the season is over. Fortnite: Battle Royale is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
