Developer Epic Games is partnering with Marvel for an exciting crossover between the blockbuster hit, Avengers: Infinity War and the ever popular battle royale game Fortnite. The crossover will bring the MCU villain Thanos to Fortnite for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS.

A limited-time event will be introduced called the Infinity Gauntlet Mashup, which will be available starting today, May 8. The event will still follow the typical battle royale setup, where the goal of the player is to be the last man standing. The only difference in this event is that the Infinity Gauntlet will be available as a weapon.

During a battle, the Infinity Gauntlet, which will be equipped with all of the six Infinity Stones, will appear randomly on the map. The lucky player who manages to find and equip the Gauntlet will be transformed into Thanos, which according to Entertainment Weekly, will give them “all the power that comes with him.”

The Infinity Gauntlet Mashup will serve as the first special event of Season 4, which was recently released together with the game’s latest update. As always, Epic did not disclose on how long the event will remain in the game, but previously released special modes have been available in the game for about a week.
