After the official announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 a few weeks ago, developer Activision has been silent with the progress of the upcoming game. More details are expected to be unveiled in a community event later this month. However, a tweet from the official E3 Twitter account revealed an essential feature of the game.
The tweet confirmed that just like previous installments in the franchise, the upcoming Black Ops 4 will have a Zombies mode.
“What’s lurking around the corner of Treyarch’s next Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies experience? Come hear the history of Call of Duty Zombies from the creators themselves at E3Coliseum!”
The appearance of the Zombies mode in Black Ops 4 is not surprising. The mode is actually expected by players since the mode has appeared in every Black Ops title in the franchise. However, it was nice of E3 to confirm this, since zombies have become one of the popular mainstays in the Black Ops franchise.
In other Black Ops 4 news, the president of Activision, Coddy Johnson, said recently in an investors meeting that the studio would dedicate a significant amount of resources in the development of the PC version of the game. Although Johnson was not talking to players in his statement, could this indicate that the franchise is strengthening its presence in the PC community as opposed appealing to console players?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is slated to release on October 12 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Activision will reveal more details on the upcoming game in a community reveal event, which will take place on May 17, 10 AM PT|1 PM ET.
