It has been a little over two weeks since the release of the online co-op adventure Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and its publisher and developer, Fatshark have released the first major content drop.
The update brings a new mission, Comms-Plex 154/2f, where players will need to fight their way up to roof of the HL-19-24 Archivum to establish some communications. The new content also brings new power maul weapons for Zealot and Ogryn characters, the Indignatus Mk IVe Crusher, and the Achlys Mk I Power Maul, respectively. The content drop also brings the new ‘Hunting Grounds’ condition, which will cause an increasing number of Pox Hounds to spawn.
Along with the content updates come a fairly extensive patch. This includes various bug fixes. These deal with various stability issues that may have been causing crashes. The patch notes come with a statement from Fatshark that they wish to respond to critique from the community by increasing their transparency. Several other bugs and stability issues are also listed as under investigation, meaning that they should hopefully be addressed in a future update.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is available now for PC via Steam. An Xbox Series X|S version has been announced for release soon. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play the game for free.
