The ninth generation of Pokemon is finally here, launching just last week on November 18th, and it took only three days for Game Freak, The Pokemon Company, and Nintendo to reach quite an amazing milestone. Following the third day of the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, they reached a record-breaking 10 million combined units sold!
This is the highest global sales level for any software on any Nintendo platform within the first three days.
While some players do have some fair complaints about the game, there is a reason that it is as popular as it is. Even the reviews that are coming in, including our review, have more positive aspects to talk about than they have negative aspects to bring up. Launching three years after Pokemon Sword and Shield, this new title does change the experience in its gameplay.
Players embark on a new style of Pokemon journey, freely exploring at their own pace and tackling multiple main story paths in any order. This game also offers expanded multiplayer modes, allowing up to four players to travel across the land together. Along with series staples, such as trading and battling Pokemon, players can also explore the various locations of the region together with other players.
